THE STORY

Clean finishes depended on solving the hidden conditions first.

This Mountain View remodel was shaped by a strong architectural vision and dozens of details that had to meet precisely in the field.

We worked closely with the architect throughout construction, helping translate the drawings into buildable conditions without losing the original intent. Ceiling boards, lighting locations, window openings, stonework, cabinetry, and interior transitions were reviewed together rather than treated as separate scopes.

That coordination gave the home its character. The finishes feel simple at first glance, but their alignment required careful planning from framing through final installation.

The construction story.

BEHIND THE BUILD

Foundation and site layout work at the backyard edge.

Roof sheathing installed across the expanded rear elevation.

Exposed roof framing coordinated for ceiling and lighting layout.

Floor markings used to coordinate dining light placement.

Exterior wall assembly prepared for finish cladding.

Open interior with ductwork and systems staged before finishes.

Corner window installation after interior demolition.

Stone partition tile installation under wood ceiling.

Wood ceiling and drywall work nearing finish stage.

PHASE 01

Structure & Openings

We rebuilt the interior around larger openings, new sightlines, and a more connected layout. Framing and structural support were coordinated early so the finished spaces stayed open and visually clean.

PHASE 02

Architectural Coordination

Wood ceilings, dining lights, windows, doors, and the freestanding stone partition all depended on exact placement. We reviewed dimensions in the field so each element aligned with the furniture, circulation, and finishes.

PHASE 03

Custom Finish Work

The final layer included wood ceilings, detailed tilework, the waterfall kitchen island, custom vanities, and a private corridor leading into the primary bathroom.

The finished home feels warm, open, and carefully resolved. Wood ceilings bring continuity to the main living spaces, large windows and doors strengthen the connection outside, and the kitchen, stone partition, fireplace, and primary suite each feel distinct without competing with one another.
